Since today is Earth Day, I decided to check out some eco blogs. One of them suggested putting coffee grounds in your hair for extra bounce and shine and to use on your face as an exfoliate. Well, okay, why not?

While the coffee grounds did well as a skin scrubber, problems abounded when I decided to put it my hair. The grounds went everywhere and it took forever to get out of my hair. I washed my hair twice and conditioned. I still found grounds in places they shouldn't be, including my ears. It was a bitch to clean out of the shower as well. Maybe it is a soaking bath time thing?

Hubby did say my hair was a little extra shiny after it dried. He may be mocking me though. He does that. I also smelled like a cappuccino afterwards. Not a wholly unpleasant experience.

I may just stick to sugar/olive oil scrubs from now on. It is less messy and the sugar dissolves instead of leaving a mess. Plus my skin has increased nibbliness for hubby's pleasure.
